Hungary had already signed the Medicrime Convention on September 27, 2013. The Fondation Chirac salutes Hungary’s ratification because it represents an important step towards the Convention’s entry into force. Indeed, for this to happen, the Convention must be ratified by five signatory states, three of which must be members of the Council of Europe.
Ukraine, Spain, and Hungary, all three members of the Council of Europe, have ratified the Medicrime Convention. Only two more signatures are needed from the 20 other signatory states, including France.
